Six of Pasadena's 2024 polling places won't be open Nov. 3
Three new locations replace some of the six closed sites, and any registered Harris County voter can use any of the eight open centers in Pasadena.

Pasadena will have eight Election Day vote centers on Nov. 3, 2026, compared with 11 on Nov. 5, 2024. Six of the 2024 locations are gone, and three new locations have been added.
Harris County runs countywide vote centers, so any registered Harris County voter may cast a ballot at any open location during early voting or on Election Day. The question is not which single address you are assigned; it is whether the spot you are used to using is still open.
Why 2024 is the baseline
This comparison is drawn against the November 5, 2024 Harris County General Election Day vote-center list and its early-voting list — the most recent comparable general election for which complete Pasadena location data is available.
Texas held a statewide constitutional-amendment election on November 4, 2025, but the only available Pasadena document from 2025 is for a June 7 runoff election and lists more than five sites, so it cannot serve as a clean baseline the way the 2024 general election can.
Six familiar locations are gone
Six 2024 Election Day sites are absent from the 2026 list:
- Asbury United Methodist Church — 5354 Space Center Blvd
- Fairmont Elementary — 4315 Heathfield
- Golden Acres Elementary — 5232 Sycamore
- Harvey Turner Elementary — 4333 Lily
- Pomeroy Elementary — 920 Burke
- Sam Rayburn High School — 2121 Cherry Brook
Three new sites appear on the 2026 list and were not on the November 5, 2024 Election Day list:
- Pasadena Memorial High School — 4410 Crenshaw Rd
- South Shaver Elementary School — 200 West Ave
- Hampton Inn & Suites Houston/Pasadena — 4741 E. Sam Houston Pkwy S
Bobby Shaw Middle School, Nelda Sullivan Middle School, Red Bluff Elementary, and Williams Elementary were vote centers for the May 4, 2024 Uniform and Special Elections but not for the November 5, 2024 general election, so they should not be counted as 2024 sites that moved.
What hasn't changed
Five vote centers appear unchanged on both lists:
- BakerRipley Pasadena Campus — 720 Fairmont Pkwy
- East Harris County Activity Center — 7340 Spencer Hwy
- John Phelps Courthouse — 101 S. Richey St
- Deepwater Junior High School — 501 Glenmore Dr
- Jackson Intermediate School — 1020 E. Thomas Ave
Early voting is unchanged, too. John Phelps Courthouse, BakerRipley Pasadena Campus, and East Harris County Activity Center were the three 2024 early-voting locations and are the same three listed for 2026.
Where to check
HarrisVotes.com is the official source for the current vote-center list, sample ballots, and mail-ballot information. The Harris Votes mobile app can identify nearby locations and show live wait times.
The Pasadena ISD voting page does not currently list any Pasadena ISD schools as 2026 Harris County vote centers and directs voters to the Harris County lookup. It also displays a November 4 date and an early-voting window that conflict with HarrisVotes' November 3 date, so rely on HarrisVotes.com.
Before you go
The county warns the vote-center list is not final and may be updated, added, or changed as locations are confirmed, so verify your location shortly before leaving. Harris County plans more than 70 early-voting centers and more than 600 Election Day voting centers countywide.
Election Day voting runs 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 3, 2026. Early voting runs October 19 through October 30 — 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Monday through Saturday and noon to 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 25.
A Texas Department of Public Safety software error left roughly 75,000 unique Harris County voter-registration records — new applications and address updates — delayed. Harris County confirmed all 75,000 had been processed as of October 3, 2026, clearing the county's backlog, but officials still advised voters to verify registration status before going.
County Clerk Teneshia Hudspeth urged voters not to wait: "I'm encouraging voters to not wait until the last minute, to vote early, especially if you're not sure about your voter registration. There's a chance you could get some things done or corrected during the early voting period rather than waiting until Election Day, when it's too late."
A quick checklist before Election Day
- Confirm your registration is active, especially after the roughly 75,000-record DPS backlog.
- Look up a current 2026 vote center on HarrisVotes.com or the Harris Votes app instead of relying on where you voted in 2024.
- Vote early during the October 19–30 window if you can — there is still time to fix a problem.
- Re-check the location immediately before you leave; the county warns the list can still change.
- On Tuesday, November 3, voting is open 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
